Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join our team. This full-time position requires someone who can provide high-quality care and education, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. You will be a key player in shaping young minds and supporting their early learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Childcare and Education: Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Tailor these activities to meet the needs of individual children.
• Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by providing constant supervision and a secure, welcoming environment. Encourage positive behavior and social interactions.
• Personal Care: Attend to children’s physical needs, including feeding, changing, and supporting toilet training, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
• Key Person Responsibilities: Act as a Key Person for a group of children, building strong relationships with them and their families. Regularly observe and assess each child’s development, maintaining accurate records and sharing progress with parents and carers.
• Communication: Develop and maintain strong, open communication with parents, carers, and colleagues. Provide daily updates on children’s activities and progress, and participate in regular reviews.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment. Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and support colleagues in delivering the best care possible.
• Safeguarding: Uphold Bright Beams Day Nurseries’ safeguarding policies and procedures. Report any concerns about children’s welfare to the Designated Safeguarding Lead immediately.

Qualifications and Skills

• Level 3 Childcare Qualification: A recognized qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent) is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles. Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Personal Qualities: Warm, approachable, and caring with a genuine passion for working with young children. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Safeguarding: Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Working Hours

• Full-Time Role: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
